Practice saying these sentences aloud, or whisper if you cannot say aloud. Make sure your tongue moves. Once you are done with one set, repeat it. Do this three times before moving to the next set. Go through the rest of the lessons, one each day. Slowly, these phrases will get imprinted into your tongue's muscle memory and your brain. You will start noticing that you can recall them easily whenever the situation arises.
Day 5 · Day 7

Explaining Ideas

Say what you mean clearly, even when the idea is complex.

Set 1
"What I'm trying to say is"
What I'm trying to say is, we need to fix the process before adding more people.
Sorry if that wasn't clear — what I'm trying to say is the timeline is too tight.
What I'm trying to say is, the issue is not the tool, it's how we're using it.
Let me rephrase — what I'm trying to say is we should test it on a smaller scale first.
What I'm trying to say is, the client's expectation and our delivery don't match.
I think I'm overcomplicating this — what I'm trying to say is, start simple.
What I'm trying to say is, both options have risk, but one has less.
What I'm trying to say is, without more data, this decision is premature.
Set 2
"The way I see it"
The way I see it, we have two real options on the table.
The way I see it, the delay is not a resource problem, it's a priority problem.
I may be wrong, but the way I see it, we're solving the wrong problem.
The way I see it, the client will accept a phased approach.
The way I see it, we need to decide this week or the window closes.
The way I see it, both teams need to align before we move forward.
The way I see it, the risk is manageable if we plan for it now.
The way I see it, this is less about budget and more about clarity.
Set 3
"To give you some context"
To give you some context, this client has rejected similar proposals before.
To give you some context, we've been working on this for three months.
Before I share the numbers, to give you some context, the market shifted last quarter.
To give you some context, the original scope was much narrower than what we have now.
To give you some context, this decision was made before the new team came in.
To give you some context, the two teams have very different ways of working.
To give you some context, the deadline was moved up by two weeks.
To give you some context, we tried this approach once before and it didn't work.

This won't improve your fluency instantly — but consistent daily practice will. Keep going.
